Amendola likely out for week 2

Danny Amendola is known for being fragile, which is no knock on his character but is frustrating to see. After just one game with the Patriots, Amendola is “almost certain” to miss Thursday’s tilt with the New York Jets, per Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.

Fantasy owners who took the risk on Amendola are probably banging their head on a wall by now.

He suffered a groin injury early in the teams match up against Buffalo this past Sunday, but Amendola still turned in a gutty performance, turning in 10 catches for 104 yards.

The 27-year old wide receiver only played in 12 of the his last 32 games as a member of the St. Louis Rams due to injuries and has a lot to prove to Patriot fans considering he’s filling the shoes of Wes Welker.
